Dr. Gideon Koren is a pediatrician and toxicologist-clinical pharmacologist from Toronto, Canada.
He was a professor of Pediatrics, Pharmacology, Pharmacy, and Medical Genetics, and a Senior Scientist at The University of Toronto and the renowned Hospital for Sick Children, and a Professor of Medicine, Pediatrics and Physiology-Pharmacology at the University of Western Ontario.
He is the founder and director of the Motherisk Program in Toronto, with the aim of “Treating the mother - Protecting the unborn." The program maintains a helpline for pregnant and lactating mothers with questions about the consumption of medications, alcohol and drugs and about morning sickness.
Dr. Koren published over 1500 scientific papers, 13 medical-scientific books, and numerous publications for parents and parents-to-be.
