What to do in an Emergency with Seizures in a Child

  1. Avoid injury to the head during seizure
  2. Keep airways open by pulling jaw foreword and lifting up the head
  3. Do not put anything in the child’s mouth (no medicine either)
  4. Put child on their side to allow discharge of any vomit 
  5. Call for help
  6. Determine how long the seizure lasted
