Difficulty Sleeping in Children

Insomnia is when a child has difficulty sleeping or frequently wakes up in the middle of night. Watch for Dr. Maida Chen's Top Tips to help insomnia:
 
 
Prime questions to ask in order to determine why your child has insomnia:

 

  1. Is the biological clock ready to sleep? Perhaps the child’s bedtime is too early and does not align with their biological clock.
  2. Is the child bothered? (i.e. is he/she in pain?)
  3. Does the child have nasal congestion?
  4. Does the child suffer from anxiety or stress?
