Children tend sometimes to put foreign objects in their ears. Watch for Top Tips from Dr. Julie Brown, medschoolforparents.com expert:
A parent should never stick something in their child’s ear to remove a foreign object and don’t put any liquid into the ear.
Usually objects in the ear are not an emergency, unless your child complains of pain, the object is a live insect or a battery, bean or dry fruit.
Doctors might remove the foreign body through irrigation or use other instruments. Your child might need sedation, in which case they should not eat or drink before visiting the clinic or an emergency department.
